HELLO FROM FRANCINE
We love the sunset from the southside...
Eric Mueller of the music blog Can You See The Sunset From The Southside? writes:
"As a rock band that walks a fine line between radio-friendly accessibility and sonic experimentation, they bring to mind a combination of Toad The Wet Sprocket, The Notwist, Radiohead, Elliott Smith, and all that was great about mid-nineties modern rock. On their latest (and third) full-length album Airshow the band lays down track after track of wonderfully complex and layered melodic pop-rock with no discernable leanings towards any one polarizing sub-genre.... I'm actually quite surprised that the songs on Airshow aren't being played on radio stations everywhere. This band should be huge."
Thanks, Eric! (Note to radio stations everywhere: get in touch.)
And some kind words from Myke Weiskopf at EDGE Boston, about Francine's Clayton Scoble:
"Put in rock-geek terms, Scoble is the rare and genuine heir to a highly selective lineage that includes such whispered names as Scott Miller (Game Theory/Loud Family), Alex Chilton (Big Star), and (perhaps) the pre-beard/classical/Diana Krall-era Elvis Costello."
Wow. Thanks, Myke! You can read more reviews right here on the press page.
Check out Airshow for yourself -- you can hear some songs here, along with tracks from Francine's previous full-length releases, Forty On A Fall Day and 28 Plastic Blue Versions Of Endings Without You. If you like what you hear, you can buy all the records in our online store. (You can also buy Airshow on iTunes or eMusic if you're digitally inclined.)

Fran on "The O.C." (Seriously.)
It's totally true. The Francine song "Albany Brownout" was featured on Fox network's series "The O.C." in January, on Episode 3.11, "The Safe Harbor." Did you miss it? (Admit it, you watch it.) You can stream the track from Francine's Purevolume page. Better yet, you can buy the album.
